Java Backend Developer (m/f/d)

The ISO-Gruppe has been operating on the market since 1979 and has since developed into an international IT service provider. For our major customer projects in various industries (e-commerce/airport/airline/ tourism), we are looking for a Java Backend Developer (m/f/d) for our cross-product architecture team at our Montréal Canada location as soon as possible.

You will be working in a top-class, innovative enterprise environment with highly experienced colleagues. You will design, implement, test and be co-responsible for complex applications as well as all related process components. This includes close and competent communication with the customer and colleagues.

Job Responsibilities

• Software development activities in a cross-functional team in the tourism industry
• Maintain, further develop and modernize the existing Java/JEE product family, based on requirements from customer projects
• Establish new components using modern tools and technologies from the Java environment
• Full stack development with a focus on backend and implementation of web-based back-office interfaces (with the option to shift focus to frontend topics if profound knowledge is available)
• Support continuous improvement of development processes and our technology stack

Basic Qualifications

• Completed university studies in computer science, business informatics, or comparable education with relevant professional experience
• Professional Java experience in application development in the Java/JEE environment (Spring, Akka, Eclipse, SQL, Hibernate, Spring Boot)
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (Git) as well as build tools (Maven, Jenkins)
• Proficient English language skills
