Georg – course of studies Computer Sciences
As a student trainee, I can carry out my own small research project in software development at the ISO-Gruppe – an exciting task using the latest technologies.
I get to do the project independently, presenting my findings in regular meetings where I continuously get constructive feedback and a lot of suggestions. I can let my creativity run freely, and it is up to me how I solve problems. When choosing the next goals, I'm always included, and my wishes and suggestions are always taken into account. In addition, I can always get a second opinion from my colleagues or supervisors – whether regarding the most effective approaches and technologies or the beneficial design patterns.
This professional working environment – coupled with the pleasant, helpful and friendly attitude of colleagues – makes ISO a great employer. I can recommend to all interested students!
Patrick – course of studies Media Informatics
I have been working at the ISO-Gruppe as a working student in test automation for one year now. Thanks to the flexible working hours and a pleasant working atmosphere, I can continue to fully concentrate on my studies. For example, it’s no problem to get off for exams – which is very important to me.
In my department, which is test automation, there are always new challenges to be tackled, and the people in team I work with are friendly and helpful. As a student of media informatics, the combination of programming and analyzing web interfaces is very exciting for me. I was able to acquire a lot of knowledge in other areas as well, for example database operations, which makes the job rich in variety and useful for my studies. I was already able to participate in a training course, something I didn’t expect as a working student. This has shown me that the ISO-Gruppe has a lasting interest in promoting its working students and tries to integrate them into the company in the best possible way already at this early stage.
On the whole, I am very satisfied with the ISO-Gruppe as an employer and look forward to being here for the next few semesters to continue working on our project together with my team.
Patrick – course of studies Master Internet & Web Science
I informed myself about possible topics for my master thesis already at the beginning of my studies. At that time, the ISO-Gruppe had just published a call for proposals on a topic whose technologies I had already dealt with for the bachelor's thesis. My interest was quickly aroused, and after a friendly interview in a relaxed atmosphere it quickly became clear that – as expected – the topic could not be postponed. Instead of merely supervising my master thesis, I was offered a working student position, with a thesis topic to possibly follow later on. Now, as a working student at ISO, I am involved in a project that is thematically very similar to the master thesis.
Because I’m studying in the town of Hof, I can work only on Fridays – which is another plus at ISO: Thanks to the flexitime regulation, I can adapt my work at the company to my rhythm.
