Etihad Holidays implements OCEAN from ISO

Etihad Holidays, a business unit of Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has selected ISO Travel Solutions to help simplify and automate its selling processes. The Abu Dhabi-based airline’s growing holidays division has implemented “OCEAN” – the tour operator IT solution suite from ISO.

After a comprehensive tender in 2007, ISO was awarded the contract to supply the ISO solution . Etihad Holidays can now offer its customers all-inclusive holiday packages, by combining accommodation and additional ground services with Etihad Airways growing network.

OCEAN is directly connected to the airline inventory which is held in Amadeus, allowing the user to package flights dynamically with other services. Furthermore OCEAN will be fully integrated with other existing systems, such as the Etihad group’s financial accounting system.

In future stages of the project, other relevant sales channels such as travel trade and web will be equipped with the solution. Also, additional internal connections will be established, i.e. to the award winning Frequent Flyer Programme "Etihad Guest", to the Etihad CRM system and to an online credit card system. Etihad Holidays also plans to utilise the inbound version "Canary" of the ISO solution for the stop-over program of Etihad’s customers in Abu Dhabi.

For ISO this project is another important step to strengthen its position in the Middle East. The company has customers in the region for many years, such as Emirates Holidays and Dnata.
