A working group of the IT Committee of the German Travel Association (DRV) has produced the white paper titled “Agentic AI and Visibility in the Travel Industry.” Helge Moser served as a co-author on behalf of the ISO Group.
This white paper addresses a highly topical issue: artificial intelligence - including large language models - is transforming how travel offers are searched for, found, and selected. The DRV also views this form of AI as a key technology of the future and an important driver for further development in the travel industry’s distribution sector.
The white paper focuses on how visibility can be achieved for travel providers in these AI-powered systems. It recommends a three-step approach that also incorporates aspects of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) as well as technical interoperability for agency-based AI applications. The paper thus offers practical guidance for all companies in the travel industry, regardless of their size.
