Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence. More Than a Model.

Artificial intelligence goes beyond generative AI and single language models. It encompasses methods that provide technical support for cognitive abilities, such as learning, reasoning, planning, and problem solving.

The ISO-Gruppe helps companies select appropriate AI technologies, deploy them securely, and integrate them into existing applications, data environments, and processes.

Different Tasks. Different AI.

Artificial intelligence has been part of the ISO-Gruppe for many years. Even before generative AI received widespread attention, our projects and business areas were already using methods for data analysis, pattern recognition, and forecasting.

Historically, this has included both rule-based expert systems and today's data-driven methods, such as machine learning, generative AI, and intelligent assistance systems. The important thing is not a single model or a specific technology, but whether a system can process information, recognize patterns, and support meaningful conclusions based on knowledge, rules, or learned models.

Today, the range of AI goes from generative AI to intelligent assistance systems and the automation of complex processes. These solutions address a wide variety of requirements in areas such as public administration, tourism, data analysis, and software development.

Each task has different security, data sovereignty, traceability, and integration requirements. For this reason, the ISO-Gruppe views artificial intelligence as part of a comprehensive solution rather than as an isolated tool.

Our AI Expertise

The image shows someone entering a prompt on a smartphone with a laptop nearby. It’s a strong fit for topics like generative AI, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted content creation for business teams and enterprise workflows.
Generative AI

Create content and organize knowledge to support employees with text- and knowledge-based tasks.

The image illustrates cognitive AI with visual cues for learning, search, collaboration, and insights. It’s well suited for content about cognitive computing, intelligent assistants, knowledge management, and data-driven decision support in enterprise environments.
Cognitive AI

Understand the information, recognize patterns, and make technical decisions that are easy to follow.

A visual concept of agentic AI highlights autonomous agents orchestrating tasks through tools and API calls. It’s well suited for content on workflow automation, task delegation, and enterprise-grade AI agent systems.
Agentic AI

Coordinate work steps, integrate systems, and provide automated support for complex processes.

AI in Action

Artificial intelligence is used across various business areas and projects within the ISO-Gruppe. Its applications range from analyzing large volumes of data to intelligent assistance systems and supporting complex decision-making and business processes.

Examples include:

  • Data quality analyses
  • Fraud detection in public administration
  • Yield management solutions
  • Cancellation forecasts in the tourism sector
  • AI-powered assistance systems
  • AI-supported software development
  • AI-based analysis and structuring of documents, specifications, and project notes

Not every use case requires the same technology. Therefore, the use of AI is always considered within the respective domain context and aligned with security, data sovereignty, traceability, and maintainability requirements.

Security and Data Sovereignty

Using AI requires clear guidelines. Depending on the requirements, we use open models, contractually secured services, or models in proprietary environments.

Data sovereignty, security, and compliance
are central to this approach. An internal governance framework defines which technologies can be used for which tasks and the requirements that must be met.

For tasks that require a particularly high degree of traceability, regulatory compliance, or deterministic behavior, the ISO-Gruppe relies on controlled, domain-specific solutions. This ensures that AI is used where it creates added value without compromising security, quality, or maintainability.

This approach is supported by a central AI team, AI champions in the business units, and ongoing training opportunities for employees. Particular attention is paid to legal requirements, information security, and the responsible handling of data.

AI in Software Development and Project Work

The ISO-Gruppe also uses artificial intelligence to support software development and project work. Different tools and operating models are employed depending on the client’s environment and security requirements.

For instance, AI can help with specifications, documentation, project notes, quality assurance, and software development. The extent to which AI is used in customer-specific development projects depends on the business and technical context. Customer requirements and aspects such as security, data sovereignty, traceability, and long-term maintainability are always decisive factors.
